the plan was twenty minutes and one basic top. then there was a sale sign, the pink bag was cute, and suddenly it was dinner time. honestly, the mall understands personal growth better than most people.

we did the full route: clothes, accessories, snacks, one completely unnecessary detour, and a final lap because somebody remembered a store on the other side. i came home with three bags and exactly zero regrets.

the secret is very simple: point, flash, and never let anyone say “wait, i wasn’t ready.” ready photos look like school picture day. blurry photos look like you had somewhere better to be.

half the camera roll is overexposed, somebody is always blinking, and the background is usually a parking lot or a bedroom mirror. somehow those are the photos that actually feel like a memory.

today required cute but effortless, new but not trying, and comfortable but not suspiciously comfortable. after eleven combinations, the first outfit won. we are not discussing it.

this is why “i have nothing to wear” is not technically about the amount of clothing. it is about the emotional betrayal of every item deciding to be wrong at the exact same time.
